President's Message

Dear Rotary Family,

Our Rotary community came together last Saturday, under the leadership of Sherry Reinhardt, our Community Services Chair, for a special Day at the Lake, hosting an afternoon of fun, water activities, and good old-fashioned warmth and support for local children in foster care and their foster families. The event provided these resilient young people with a safe, joyful environment to simply enjoy being kids. Our Rotarians, volunteers and organizers stepped up to provide boat rides, swimming, fishing lessons and a lakeside barbecue, complete with hand-spun cotton candy and a snow cone truck. Beyond the outdoor activities and lunch, the day was about connection and ensuring that every child and their foster parents felt seen, valued, and celebrated. Events like this highlight the incredible impact we can make when we unite our hearts and resources to support child advocacy and youth reassurance. An immense thank you to everyone who donated their organization, time, and care to make this lakeside day an unforgettable memory for these children. Thank you so much!

P.S. This Wednesday will be my last meeting in person as President. I so hope you will please join me for a program full of Rotary fun, appreciation and celebration. Cheers to you and our Rotary!
