I had the pleasure of attending last Thursday’s Lake Norman Citizen’s Normy Awards celebration and seeing three of our fellow Rotarians recognized:
Rich Lyon — Best Insurance Agent in Denver.
Dr. Matt Motteler, whose practice, Carolina Eye Care, won Best Eye Doctor in Denver.
Dr. Wissam Nadra, Lakeshore Pediatric Center — Best Pediatrician in Denver.
What a joy to be there and watch our community celebrate people we’re fortunate to call friends! Rich, Matt, and Wissam, congratulations to you and your teams. Your Rotary family is proud of you and delighted to share in the celebration.

Rotarian Mike Pugh Honored for His Rotary International Foundation Contributions

Paul gave for October 15th, his luckiest day as he sat next to Patti Kirk on a plane trip, a meeting that started their 44 year relationship. He also gave for his daughter and others who completed the Chicago Marathon - yea!
Rich gave for the zoo in Asheboro and told everyone that Ross' grandfather donated the land for the zoo in Charlotte.
Jim Minor gave to celebrate the 251st anniversary of the USAA. He also gave for the USS Abraham Lincoln which is safely back home with its crew of 5600 - now being retired and replaced by the USS Gerald Ford with a smaller crew.
Mike gave to celebrate learning Sunday that a new granddaughter is on the way soon.
Hailey gave for her 9…long years being married to her husband.
