Dear Rotarians,
As we come toward the end of the summer, I am reflecting on a bit of what our Rotary accomplished together and pausing to say thank you for making it a wonderful time for our club and community.
We began and concluded with our Music in the Park concert series, which has become such a great and anticipated part of our Denver community. These concerts build social connections, promote local activity and identity, and enrich culture. They give our community members a space to engage in the musical arts and enjoy the talents and varied musical genres the bands bring, not to mention a great evening out with family and friends.
Music also boosts mental health. Live music is immersive, providing an escape from daily stress and improving mental wellness. Concerts bring people together, fostering belonging and offering connection - an essential pillar of well-being.
We had Day at the Lake, a day out for our foster families, and one of the most important community projects we do. There is nothing more special than seeing the smiles on little ones’ faces and offering these caring families, social workers and community servants a day of fun, laughter and just being looked after themselves.
A heartfelt thank you to all of you who work so very hard to make these summer events happen so beautifully. Your hearts and your efforts strengthen our community and relationships. We appreciate you.
Thank you,
Trudie
