October is a very special month for our rotary and our community. This month is the beginning of nature’s wondrous change evident in cool, crisp mornings and the transformative beauty of autumn. It is also the month when we are reminded of the community leaders and servants who founded our Rotary club and created a Denver institution that has done immeasurable good for Lincoln county and it’s citizens and has reached all over the world, such as our members immunizing children against polio in India.
This week we begin our month-long celebration of our 30th anniversary of our Rotary’s Charter and honor and raise funds for RI’s campaign to eradicate polio worldwide at our PolioPlus & 30th Anniversary Wine Pairing Event. The event will offer an opportunity for us to break bread together and enjoy some beautiful wines as well as feature a silent auction fundraiser. And speaking of those silent auction baskets and donated items, Debbie Perry and I worked on assembling those this weekend, and we were absolutely awestruck by the generosity and the kindness of our member’s’ donations. We have such a giving group and I am so looking forward to celebrating with you this Thursday. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping make change in the world. I appreciate you more than I can say.
Kindest Regards,
Trudie
