The Denver Lake Norman Rotary Club Foundation

The Foundation was incorporated on May 6, 2009 with the objective to further the outreach of the Denver/Lake Norman Rotary Club in the community.

The initial project for the Denver Lake Norman Rotary Club Foundation is the creation, development and maintenance of the “East Lincoln Rescue Park” which is planned for a 32 acre tract on Galway Lane in eastern Lincoln County.  The park is the result of work between the East Lincoln Rescue Squad, Lincoln County Commissioners and the Denver/Lake Norman Rotary Club Foundation, and has been approved by all three organizations.

A rendering of a preliminary plan for the park is available through the Denver Lake Norman Rotary Club website, and although significant changes will take place during the planning process, the park will offer a place for adults and children to come for recreational activities.

Currently the Denver Lake Norman Rotary Club Foundation has been incorporated and registered with the North Carolina Secretary of State, and has received the IRS Tax ID number 27-0423315.  The foundation was incorporated to become a non-profit organization and designated as a 501-(c)-(3) corporation as recognized by the Federal government.

Once the government has approved this designation, donations to the Denver Lake Norman Rotary Club Foundation may be made to support the park or other goals, and the donation may count as a taxable deduction when filing your taxes.  With any tax deduction, you should consult your tax preparer for any final decisions.
