Denver/Lake Norman Rotary will again be supporting our USO with this year's 'Helmet Fund', starting on November 8 and running through November 29.  This year, and as part of the NFL's "Salute to Service" initiative to "Honor, Empower, and Connect" our heroes, the NFL has generously offered to match all gifts given this month, dollar for dollar, up to a total of $50,000.  The USO thanks our Club for keeping our Service Men and Women strong and connected to Family, Home, and Country, this Holiday Season.  Debbie Perry will be collecting donations while Jim Minor is traveling.
The program to eradicate polio, called Polio Plus, has been Rotary International’s primary effort for 30 years. It has already reduced polio cases by 99.9% worldwide.
45 Rotarians and guests enjoyed the social/fundraiser on October 26th. We raised over $2600 from donations (including those for the raffle and silent auction).
The Royal Bliss upper deck provided such a cool vibe to spend a gorgeous October evening with our Rotarian family.
President Andie, Jim, Polio Plus Committee Chair Debbie, District Level Polio Plus Chair Trudie, and Jim enjoyed the event!!
District Level Polio Plus Chair Trudie, Polio Plus Committee Chair Debbie, and President Elect Craig, having fun
